Held Breath, Lifted Heards

There is a held breath, a silent prayer, in the face of everyone who watches the traditional catalan human tower rise. It is a tension of hope + the weight of an expectation for everything to be ok.

….And when the last kid reaches the top and raises their hand, the crowd erupts - not just in applauses, but as if the tower’s ascent had lifted them all. For an instant, each person in the square become more than themselves. They are all part of the tower, everyone there become part of something higher, and in the moment of silence that follows, the air is filled with a quiet understanding that to rise together is the only true victory.
